The Mantra on Mary is really nice and clean. friendly staff. great position, but unfortunately, so noisy due to the 24 hours a day works at the new metro being built adjacent to the hotel. at the time of the booking we were not warned about this issue.

The room was okay, but a little dated and wasn't as clean as it should have been. There was a clear spill on the bedside table that had dried on and we had to clean it.

A convenient location close to both CBD, main Queen St and Albert St Malls, a 5 min stroll to the Botanic gardens and the river. Not without its issues though - although comfortable and spacious, some of the rooms are a looking a little 'tired' now (but comfy beds!). The adjacent Cross River Rail station being constructed adjacent to the building works 24/7 during the week (but not at the weekends) and does create some noise nuisance on all sides of the building (we stayed on 2 diff floors and 2 diff sides during our stay). The glazing does a good job of soundproofing when closed, but its not 100% But this will be true for all the hotels and apartments close to the Albert St X-River sites. Worth noting that the staff are awesome... Jen, Travis, all the front desk staff and even the upper management are all v customer focused, happy to help with info, and are just great to deal with or say hi to. Overall, would be happy to recommend and stay again in the future.

No parking available, really challenging to find parking and when my colleague was told she could park at a parking station near by for $6 per night, we were charged $50 the following morning. This is a significant difference from $6. I accept you may have limited spots, but please don't provide alternative options if it is false.
