La Tierra Restaurant

Be taken on a flavoursome journey as you explore a menu that combines Mediterranean flavours with Spanish influence. Each dish is created to celebrate the variety and accessibility of local produce.

La Tierra meaning 'from the Earth' is the foundation of La Tierra restaurant.

In true Mediterranean style we encourage fun and frivolity through sharing – from sampling our delicious offering of tapas to our banquet menu where you will experience fresh, local meat dishes sourced from the Mitta and Kiewa Valley region.

If sharing is not your thing, indulge in mouth-watering charcoal steaks or devilishly delightful desserts.

La Tierra's wine list comprises carefully selected Mediterranean-style wines to compliment the vast variety and excellence of the local wine area. We do our best to promote the Riverina wine area by regularly changing and supporting as many local wineries as possible.

You can also share the experience of the local craft beer industry as you enjoy a cold drink.

La Tierra's relaxed and contemporary setting provides the ultimate dining experience, enhanced by outstanding customer service. It is the perfect place to enjoy great coffee, share some tapas amongst friends or indulge in our mouth-watering delicacies from the wood and charcoal grill.

Chef profile - Andrew Milton

Raised in Yerong Creek Andrew Milton’s aspiration for cooking began early on, making pancakes and creating inspired dinners for his family at the age of 12. After graduating from Billabong High School in Culcairn, Milton sought opportunities to develop his own culinary career and began an apprenticeship at ‘Commercial Club’ continuing his study at ‘Tafe’ he developed and refined his culinary techniques. At age 23 Milton landed the head chef role at ‘SS&A Golf Club’ where he elevated the cuisine to delight guests and continued to update the menu seasonally. Milton then went on to explore regional Australia drawing inspiration from local produce to further define his innovative cooking style. Wanting to stay true to his roots Milton returned to Albury/Wodonga with new found confidence and the desire for a challenge. He assisted in the opening and launch of SOHO tapas bar where he inspired a gourmet style menu. Milton found his niche when he moved into the Hotel industry assuming the Head Chef position at The Hovell Tree Inn. Here he built a reputation as one of the region’s leading Chefs with a strong local following. In early 2018 Milton headed up the opening of La Tierra, a restaurant fully dedicated to exploring modern variations of the Mediterranean cuisine.
