You might have seen it onscreen several times, if not more. You probably know the iconic phrase, "Nobody puts baby in the corner" and perhaps you've even memorised parts of the dance routines. Can you guess what we're talking about yet? It's the much-loved film Dirty Dancing, which starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

Just in case you are unfamiliar with the story, here's a quick rundown. Set in 1960s America, teen Frances "Baby" Houseman heads to a mountain resort with her family for a holiday. Instead of embracing the wholesome, family-oriented fun that her parents expect of her, she finds herself caught up in an enchanting youth culture of partying and dancing, with bad-boy Johnny Castle stealing her heart one move at a time. Of course it's not all smooth sailing, with a number of obstacles that must be overcome along the way before they can be together.

Now's the time to see this enduring classic through a new lens - under the bright stage lights of Sydney's Lyric Theatre. From November 28 you can witness this incredible film translated into theatre in Sydney. Rest assured it's going to be good, as this version of the show premiered in Sydney in November 2004, touring around Australia and smashing records and expectations across its season.

Ten years later, legendary theatre producer John Frost will bring this story to life once again for a limited season, so be sure to get in quick. You and the rest of the audience will be thrilled by some of the film's favourite songs such as Hungry Eyes and of course, Time of My Life.

With eye-catching costumes, a wonderfully talented cast, gorgeous sets, heart-pounding music and much, much more, this is one performance you simply can't miss. All of Sydney will be talking about it.
