Four Ideas for your Australian Summer Holiday

Caz and Craig Makepeace from yTravel Blog have listed their top Australian holiday destinations. Take advantage of our Boxing Day Sale and book a bargain getaway from 23 December.

Road trips make family travel very practical and cost efficient. There’s nothing more I love than an Australian road trip, especially when travelling with our kids.

Road trips are the perfect way to bond as a family and create lasting memories. We love the freedom of hitting the open road and having the flexibility to go anywhere, anytime.

Road trips are a great Aussie tradition, especially around Christmas and New Year’s to spend time with family and relax after the busy period. Thankfully it’s not too late to book a well-earned holiday. Mantra’s Boxing Day Sale launches on 23 December, and you can stay up to 30 June 2017!

We stayed in several Mantra properties during our 18-month road trip around Australia. Here are four destinations we loved on our Aussie road trip.

Mooloolaba and the Sunshine Coast, Queensland

If you’re looking for an ideal family-friendly beach destination, it’s hard to go past Mooloolaba. Situated in the middle of the Sunshine Coast region of Queensland, the beach is a popular spot for swimming because it’s patrolled seven days a week. Mooloolaba is one of the Top 10 Safest Beaches in Queensland and there’s a beautiful shaded and grassed BBQ area to relax, right next to the kids’ playground. Across the road there are many chic restaurants and cafes.
