Noosa hosts one of the country's premiere food and wine festivals

Noosa Food and Wine Festival

Australia is widely renowned for its excellent range of food and wine festivals. The people of this country just get hospitality, producing some of the finest restaurants, vineyards and other culinary businesses in the world.

Noosa, located at the top of Queensland's Sunshine Coast, is one of Australia's premiere food and wine destinations. For that reason, make sure you have your holiday accommodation in Noosa organised so you can attend its famous festival.

Noosa International Food and Wine Festival

Since the inaugural 2003 event, where just 150 attended, the Noosa International Food and Wine Festival has grown into an annual culinary extravaganza.

Chefs, winemakers, producers and media representatives flock from all over the country every year to stay in the charming township of Noosa and participate in the popular festival. Together they put on a show like few others, where guests can sample a wide range of tasty treats, whilst enjoying the raft of entertainment on show.

Festival 2015

The 2015 event is slated for May 14-17, and has over 200 invited culinary professionals attending. There is an extensive program lined up for the four days, taking place in Lions Park, almost adjacent to Mantra French Quarter.

Some of the star faces involved with the event this year are TV presenter and chef Peter Kuruvita, Sunday Style's editor-in-chief Kerrie McCallum, and Afro-Cuban Salsa band Chukale, to name but a few.

You can also see some excellent businesses from around both the region and country, including Barambah Organics, Grandvewe Cheese, Milawa Cheese Company and Yarra Valley Caviar.

There are plenty of food and wine trails to explore too, some of which take you into the fascinating natural setting of Noosa's famous Hinterland, so make sure you bring some good walking shoes on your trip!
