If you're a music lover and you're planning an upcoming getaway to the Gold Coast, you'll definitely want to drop Country Paradise in Nerang on September 21, to catch the smooth sounds of the Gold Coast Acoustic Music Festival.

Back for its fifth outing this year, the Acoustic Music Festival is a must-visit for fans of this stripped-back sound. Mantra has plenty of hotels on the Gold Coast such as Mantra Circle on Cavill and Mantra Broadbeach on the Park, so you'll be spoiled for accommodation for your Gold Coast trip.

What's on at the Acoustic Music Festival

With plenty of performances and live workshops to get involved in, this event is definitely one to catch for any budding musicians. It's on from 1pm to 8pm, and tickets cost $10 for members of the Coast Acoustics club and $15 for everyone else.

This year, Hanneke Cassel and Mike Block will be bringing their infectious blend of fiddle, cello and voice to the stage with a show that spans many different styles of traditional and original music. Look out for influences from their Celtic, American and classical music backgrounds as you soak up the sounds from this award-winning duo.

Brisbane-based bluegrass band The Company will also be making an appearance at the festival, wowing audiences with their finger-picking skills and harmonic and soulful vocals.

Owl Valley Bluegrass will take the stage as well, featuring four members who can play a huge range of instruments between them including the banjo, accordion, double bass, guitar, fiddle, mandolin and harmonica.

Quatro, Fiddlesticks, Balyana and Franke make up the rest of this year's packed line-up and audiences are sure to appreciate their musical skills.

Brush up on your skills

The Gold Coast Acoustic Music Festival offers a range of workshops to help musicians build their skills for a variety of instruments.

There's also plenty of jamming sessions to take part in, so you can put your newly-learned techniques to the test!
