Discover the extensive collection of Aboriginal art at the Berndt Museum of Anthropology. Situated in the picturesque grounds of the University of Western Australia, the museum provides an opportunity to examine a variety of traditional and contemporary Aboriginal artworks and cultural artefacts.

Stroll through the “Images of Aboriginal Australia” exhibition which displays many intriguing paintings from the Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory and picturesque Kimberley region in the State’s northwest. View the beautiful collection of art, handmade jewellery and intricate wood carvings from Melanesia and Southeast Asia.

You will have the opportunity to inspect an extensive photographic collection on the museums computerised database. Containing 15,000 photos it captures many aspects of the state’s history.

The museum has an enviable address, within the grounds of the most beautiful university in the state. Explore the stunning campus and the majestic Romanesque architecture of Winthrop Hall.
