Along with its beaches and local produce, seafood and prime beef, Geraldton offers all of the cultural, entertainment and shopping attractions of a major regional city. A port city, Geraldton is world-renowned for its rock fishery, agriculture and gold production. There is plenty to see and do, including visiting the Geraldton Region Museum, with its maritime displays, the HMAS Sydney Memorial, St Francis Xavier Cathedral and just 100kms from town, the Chapman Valley. The Abrolhos Islands are a chain of more than 100 islands approximately 60 km west of Geraldton that are home to a rich variety of fauna.
