Fabric of Life offers hand made textiles that are finely crafted, distinctive and beautiful. Textiles are collected from around the world and represent some of the finest textile traditions still being practiced. We stock Aboriginal textiles from throughout Australia.

A major focus is the textile and fibre works of Ernabella Arts Incorporated, an Indigenous community in the north west of South Australia. These include hand drawn batik hangings, silk scarves and Tjanpi (fibre baskets and sculpture). Textiles for the home include wall hangings, table linen, cushions, embroideries, framed works, fabric toys, hand made baskets and traditional costume and textiles from tribal groups.

Fashion textiles include scarves, shawls, bags and accessories. We follow Fair Trade practices, buying mainly from individual makers or projects that help promote community development and self-sufficiency.
