Uplifting feel of the room and view from the balcony

The room had a nice feel to it, air-conditioned and with soft jazz playing. The balcony overlooking Grant Street with a view up to the main street gave us a real lift. Everything functioned well. The bathroom made me feel short, but maybe that's just me! The poofy pillows were a bit impossible, so I used one of the smaller decorative cushions to sleep on, though I should have used one of the pillows to stuff the gap between the mattress and the bed head. The location was great, and the cafe strip on Grant Street is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And there is THE BEST bookshop down on the opposite corner of Warner Street. I chose this hotel for the Roman ruin pool, and it was awesome! The hotel provides undercover parking, which was appreciated with an imminent storm warning.

It was wonderful but, just so you know, the spa in the room needs a new plug because the water slowly drains out. Also, you might have to do something with your Fire Alarm system because we had to evacuate at 2.30am because the fire alarm went off. The Fire Brigade came and the Chief said it was a false alarm. It was surmised that it went off because of the windy weather.

Spacious 2 bedroom apartment, centrally located. Can walk to shops, restaurants and beach. Although we didn't prepare any meals, we noted that there was no dishcloth or teatowel in the kitchen. There were ample towels and bathroom supplies. It was bad luck that someone set off the fire alarm at 2am and we were stranded in the footpath for about 20 minutes

Nice room for 4 adults with easy walk to town and beach. Kitchen a bit basic with no coffee machine. The room (21) had no natural light so dark and had no windows that you could open without the humidity coming in. Apart from that it was a cool area to sleep and recharge.
