I had cancelled my booking way ahead of time. The hotel said I hadn't cancelled. They then put the whole 2 night booking charge on my credit card...$382.00. According to their cancellation policy which I read on their website, if there is a no show they will charge one night's accommodation. I phoned them and so did Wotif.com who I had booked through. They refused to refund me even one night's accommodation. So I have had to pay $382.00 for a booking I had cancelled. Beware of this hotel. Their published cancellation policy is a lie.

A family member was in the GCU hospital, so I initially booked for two nights. However, because I needed to be close to the hospital, I made multiple last-minute rebookings and ended up staying for a week. A nurse on the ward recommended the hotel so I just walked in with no prior booking, a little stressed from the hospital and the lack of parking at the hospital itself, the young woman on reception was so graceful and helpful - I immediately felt like I was in good hands. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly; nothing was a problem, and after spending days in the hospital, it was always so comforting to return to a clean and tidy room in such a welcoming environment. I truly am thankful for the staff's kindness and cannot recommend Mantra at Sharks highly enough. Parking was a breeze, room service and cafe meals were delicious, the room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. The location is fantastic, the staff are absolutely amazing, and the coffee is excellent too.

The best hotel experience I have had. Really.
