A good base for exploring the Gold Coast

Mantra Sierra Grand is a good choice for the Gold Coast. Location wise it is a bit of a distance from the main strip - but the beaches of Broadbeach are quieter, there is still plenty to do in the region (Pacific Fair and the Casino less than a 5 minutes walk) and the Tram stop is just outside the front door of the hotel. The hotel itself has good facilities (nice pools and spas and gym) and the 3 bedroom suite we stayed in was very nice. Although the 3rd bedroom is not really a proper bedroom (more an expanded cupboard) - it was in overall good condition. The staff of the hotel are terrific - could not be more helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would consider again should we be back up that way.

Comfortable rooms and good facilities in the hotel, receptionist is very friendly and helpful. Great location closed to the main shopping centre Pacific Fair and less than 2 mins walk to the beach.

Sierra Grande Broadbeach is in a great position - close to the beach and across the road from Pacific Fair. It has an amazing outdoor pool and indoor pool. Do not stay in apartment 2304. This apartment is not associated with the Mantra group but is privately owned and managed. The carpet was filthy (the owner has now agreed to replace it after being asked for 18 months by the agent) the saucepans do not work on the stove as they are the wrong type, the couch is old and shabby and the one TV is cheap and dated. When we stayed there the windows and kitchen floor were both dirty. After paying nearly $4,000 we received a refund of $250 and 12 noon checkout.

We were a large party (parents of bride/bridal party) and arrived very stressed! Your staff member (so wish I knew her name - on desk day shift Sunday 7/4/24 ) could not have been more helpful, professional and accommodating. She was competently able to make her way through multiple reservations and requests and helped us out so much. She was on her own managing heavy in and out reception traffic yet made us feel welcomed and attended. That staff member must be recognised for her outstanding service to us on the day.
