The Chan Contemporary Art Space is a demonstration of the Territory Government's commitment to supporting Territory's cultural environment. The exhibition space will increase awareness of the diversity of Territory contemporary visual art including new media, craft and design, and will provide creative development opportunities for Territory curators, artists and art organisations and will raise the public profile of Territory contemporary art.

Throughout the year the Chan Contemporary Art Space program will continue to showcase the diverse creativity, stories and lifestyles of Northern Territory artists. Residents and visitors, artists and non-artists are invited to participate in the variety of exhibitions and public programs on offer.
