This is not really a hotel… it’s just a very basic room to rent, no restaurant, no breakfast, no safe in the rooms, noisy air/con, building site at the front lobby, a very very disappointing introduction to our first night in Darwin,although the booking was pre paid they still took a security deposit, for what I don’t know…. there is nothing further to purchase!!!

As per instructions, this is to be kept for ACCOR to read only. Firstly, I cannot fault the service. Your team is fabulous, these comments are for management and Accor management to see and hopefully fix this issue! I have been staying at mantra Esplanade for 6 months now when visiting my partner in Datein as my preferred hotel. However, after the prices on offer and looking at what I got I have to reconsider sadly and the better cheaper option is Mantra Panamas or alternative non-accor hotels. Rooms are in serious need of updating, shower tiles and silicone in bathroom dirty and needing replacing or serious cleaning from lime/ calcium build up and at times, mould. TVs are another issue, why don't you have smart TVs? Not one in the apartment was able to do at minimum screen cast, you offer no in house movies etc. this is another area lacking., I did mention in my last review in December And the final cherry on top was the new cashless payment only! This I am definitely not happy with, I prefer to use cash and requested it as payment upon arrival yet, you debited my card AND charged a surcharge. When I arrived I was advised you have now become cashless.... That is fine but you CANNOT legally charge a surcharge to a person if YOU do not accept cash!!!! It is against the law, as per UCCC regulations. If you're going to make all ACCOR hotels cashless {which is a bad idea and I know of several people now booking alternative hotels because of this - very wealthy people) perhaps management should look ino this as I'm sorry, I am making a formal complaint. You cannot charge a surcharge if you do not accept cash! So yeah, I won't be visiting mantra esoelande, or probably any Accor hotels any longer should this main issue be rectified, and I'm sure many other people who have been using Accor may click onto this....

I arrived in the middle of the night and as I entered my room all I could smell was mould and mildew. The morning I awoke and could not see out of the filthy window. The shower was mouldy and even the little bin in the bathroom couldn’t be opened as it is so old. I requested a room change. Upon arriving in the second room, again I could barely see out of the sliding door due to mould and moss. I had to ask for a cleaner to one and clean it which was half done. There were no other rooms. When I spoke to the manager he was extremely rude. I was not told there was no restaurant, I couldn’t even get a coffee. There was maintenance retailing being done which was terribly noisy but again ias not told until the second day I was there. After travelling from the Gold Coast to stay there, I was very disappointed and will not recommend to anyone.

I booked online and when I got there was dismayed to find loud and intrusive construction work in progress with workers in a crane right up against guest windows. There was nothing on the website about this and no discount. The hotel did hear my concerns and relocate me to the Mantra Pandamus which was fabulous— but it was dishonest on the management side not to disclose the construction problems.
