Australia's first University Museum, and the largest public collection of archaeological artefacts in the country, featuring objects from ancient Egypt, Greece, Italy, Cyprus, the Middle East and northern Europe; ranging from mummies, Roman sculptures and Greek vases.

The Near Eastern Collection contains artefacts ranging in date from the Natufian to the Roman periods, and includes stone tools, pottery, and bronze and iron artefacts.

The Egyptian Collection contains material from all periods of ancient Egyptian history, from the Neolithic and Predynastic to the Dynastic and to the later Greek and Roman periods.

The Cypriot Collection is one of the most important outside Cyprus. The Classical Collection contains material from ancient Greece and Italy, and other parts of the Mediterranean influenced by those cultures.
