Inspired by the intimate, neighbourhood venues of downtown New York and Berlin, Bootleg Bar and Italian Food is a low-lit space with an honest, seasonal Italian menu, a nice little wine list and beer on tap – all served until late.

Blurring the line between bar and restaurant, Bootleg was conceived around the belief that uncompromised food and service should be available in a friendly, intimate environment, without pretense and until late in the evening.

The award-winning interior eschews Sydney-style glamour in favour of a “50’s American modernism meets Berlin industrial” aesthetic, the perfect backdrop for the works of prolific music photographer Janette Beckman which line the walls.

Recently Bootleg has also launched a New York style weekend brunch, dishing up its own twist on comfort food classics with a sharp selection of breakfast cocktails to match.
