Airlie Beach Accommodation

Airlie Beach – the gateway to the Whitsunday’s, is just 35 minutes from the Proserpine Airport and is famous for its plethora of tropical islands and close proximity to the Great Barrier Reef, Heart Reef and Whitehaven Beach. Attracting thousands of visitors each year, the Whitsunday region with its year-round balmy climate makes for the ideal holiday destination.

In the centre of this resort town you’ll find a raft of things to do including taking a refreshing dip in the Airlie Beach Lagoon which has the added feature of a children’s pool making it a great swimming spot for the whole family. The sandy beach at one end of the lagoon and nearby grassy area provides a relaxing spot to sunbathe, and the landscaped gardens make this a little oasis on the edge of the waterfront.

Tours depart daily from Airlie Beach and there is an almost endless selection of water and nature attractions to keep you entertained. From snorkelling and diving, to sailing, stand-up-paddle-boarding, hot air-ballooning, whitewater rafting, skydiving, and exploring the surrounding hinterland, the choice of activities is almost endless. Surrounded by fertile agricultural land, Airlie Beach is a great place to sample Queensland’s food and wine. Visit one of the town’s many restaurants, or join a Food Trail tour to visit local farms and learn how the produce is grown.
