Brisbane style heats up with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival
For five days this August, Brisbane turns into one of the biggest fashion hubs in the world.
From Sunday 25 to Friday 30, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival brings some of the best and brightest in fashion design to the City Hall to launch the newest collections for spring and summer.
Now in its eighth year, the show will see visitors being among the first to have a look inside the newly refurbished City Hall after it closed for renovations and only reopened in April earlier this year.
Both international fashion designers and local talent will be on show as well as fashion retailers, making it Queensland's biggest runway programme and a not-to-be missed event for anyone involved in the industry or hoping to simply catch a glimpse of the innovations and new trends they can expect in the coming months.

One of the most special parts of this festival is that even though it will host some of the biggest names in fashion, it is not an industry-only event. That means that it's open to the public, so anyone can stop by for a look, or even purchase something hot off the runway without waiting for it to come out in the main stores!
There will be all the usual fashion favourites like runway shows, but there are plenty of other things to see and do throughout the event such as discussion forums, high tea salon showings and random acts of fashion.
It's only on once a year but it's still not too late to book in your Brisbane accommodation to ensure you don't miss out on a spot in the heart of the city for this exciting event!
