Jazz enthusiasts and music lovers from all over Australia will be flocking to Noosa once more for the 2013 edition of the much-loved Noosa Jazz Festival.

This year, the festival will be held from August 29 - September 1 at the Noosa Lions Park at Noosa Heads, Queensland - close to Mantra French Quarter, one of Mantra's holiday apartments on the Sunshine Coast.

All about the festival

This year will actually mark the 22nd time the Noosa Jazz Festival has entertained and amazed music lovers, so you can be sure that you're in for a good time when you book your tickets.

The festival is renowned for bringing top Australian talent together, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Noosa Heads with its many beaches and lush national parkland areas.

One of the most popular and long-established jazz festivals in the whole country, the Noosa Jazz Festival started out from humble beginnings as a decidedly smaller gathering within a single local restaurant.

Of course, the festival has grown by leaps and bounds since then and today. The team behind it is proud to boast over 90 performances in a variety of venues and stages throughout the duration of the event.

The Festival Village at Noosa Lions Park is where all the action takes place, with plenty to see, hear and do at the Mainstage, various Masterclasses and food and market stalls.

What's on this year

Many exciting artists are set to take the stage at the Noosa Jazz Festival this year. Jazz lovers will revel in the sweet sounds of Elixir featuring Katie Noonan, James Valentine, Monica Trapaga and The Idea of North.

There's also Gregg Arthur and the Casper Tromp Quintet, the Todd Hardy Swing Orchestra and the Jan Preston Trio to light up the stage with their full-bodied, lush sounds.
