Let the kids go wild on your Gold Coast holiday

Explore Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast

With its array of pristine beaches, untouched hinterland and dazzling weather, the Gold Coast is sure to deliver a most memorable family holiday. If you've come here to discover the best natural attractions of the region, you won't be disappointed with this line up of activities on offer.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the perfect place to take little animal lovers. There are daily animal encounters that you can capture on camera forever, including the chance to cuddle a koala. Treat yourself to a Segway Safari, where you and your family will glide through the sanctuary's most serene landscapes on an eco-friendly Segway. For a more educational experience, a visit to the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital is a must-do. Here you can see vets working hard to ensure the absolute best care of all the sanctuary's wildlife.

Test your nerves at Adventure Parc, which is a high-ropes course set in the treetops complete with 80 different challenges. This one is best for older (or, at least, taller) children as there are height restrictions on the courses.

Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk

The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk boasts the perfect blend of nature and adventure. Explore 30 acres of rainforest, taking a 1.5 km walk through some of the most picturesque flora anywhere in Australia. Some of the walk takes place on the forest floor, while adventurous children will enjoy the cantilever bridge that takes you a massive 30 metres above the rainforest.

The course can accommodate large-wheeled strollers, so it's suitable for even your tiniest family members, and the unguided walk allows you to go at your own pace.

"With its array of pristine beaches, untouched hinterland and dazzling weather to top it all off, the Gold Coast is poised to deliver you the most memorable family holiday ever"

Visit Springbrook National Park when you come to the Gold Coast

Springbrook National Park

Springbrook National Park is truly something special - not only does it boast waterfalls, ancient trees, rainforests and a myriad of other examples of natural beauty, but it's also a Gondwana Rainforests of Australian World Heritage Area.

Embark on a walk along a subtropical rainforest, taking in awe-inspiring views of mountain streams, open forest and, of course, the Gold Coast skyline. The Springbrook plateau is the best section of the park in terms of lookouts and vistas, while an evening trip to the Natural Bridge will enchant the kids with its majestic glow worms.

Dreamworld

Dreamworld is Australia's favourite family theme park due to it's thrill rides, but also because of it's excellent nature and wildlife which will keep both kids and parents happy when taking a break from the rollercoasters.

Spend a day exploring Dreamworld's Corroboree, one of South East Queensland's largest native wildlife parks. Boasting hundreds of native animals, including the world's second largest koala population, it's a must-do during your Gold Coast family holiday.

Animal lovers will enjoy Tiger Island, where you can see Bengal and Sumatran tigers frolic, swim and wrestle.

Sea World

Sea World offers an experience you'll never forget. Stop by at Polar Bear Shores to see huge, graceful polar bears gliding through the water and roaming on land, before moving on to Penguin Point to see gorgeous fairy penguins in action.

There are plenty of family adventures to try out here too, including a Dolphin Family Adventure where groups can interact with dolphins in trainers in shallow water. Other experiences with animals include seals, polar bears, sharks and penguins.
