Check out the Sun-Herald City2Surf Race in Sydney
One of Australia's most famous runs, the City2Surf, is set to take place in Sydney again this year.
On Sunday August 10, thousands of runners will hit Sydney's streets in this iconic event. The route is 14km in distance, so it's accessible for various fitness levels. Why not take part or head along to cheer somebody on?
No matter your level of experience, there's a way to participate in this event. On the day, runners are organised into groups from the fastest to the slowest, so the competitive runners can head off first, while others are positioned further to the back.
The run begins at the intersection of Park and College Streets in the central city, continues up William Street and passes through the tunnel at Kings Cross. It then follows New South Head Road, up the challenging Heartbreak Hill and follows all the way to Bondi Beach for a spectacular finish at the southern end of the Bondi Pavilion. Here, you can unwind after the race with gorgeous beach views!
