Shake it for the Melbourne Latin Festival

There's plenty to explore in Tweed. Shake it for the Melbourne Latin Festival

Grab a sparkly outfit and start practising your moves because the 6th International Melbourne Latin Festival is coming up. If you're a fan of the samba and the salsa, make sure you pencil in a trip to Melbourne for April 4, 5 and 6.

This fun event aims to celebrate all things Latin dance, and this year it's excitingly themed 'Superheroes and Villains' - so pick your favourite character and get your costume ready.

When you arrive in Melbourne, head to the Darebin Arts and Entertainment Complex, which is on the corner of Bell Street and St Georges Road, for a dance extravaganza.

There will be over 150 Latin dancers, 10 DJs, a live Latin band and even over 40 dance workshops held over the three-day event, so it's time to get your dancing shoes ready.

Whether you're a beginner or a professional, there will be something to gain from heading along to this celebration of dance.

Styles include Salsa, Zouk, Bachata, Samba, Cha Cha, Argentine Tango - and that's just to name a few.

Check out the schedule of performances and workshops and get in quick to ensure you can enjoy this awesome event.

When you're grabbing your tickets for the dance festival, book your holiday accommodation too. You're going to need somewhere really comfortable to kick up your feet when you arrive home from dancing the night away, after all.

Check out Mantra 100 Exhibition, which is located right in the heart of Melbourne city. That means during your stay, you can enjoy the multitude of sights and activities Melbourne has to offer.

Enjoy your own apartment, with kitchenette, laundry and other features and amenities that make it a great place to stay. When you're not dancing, you can visit nearby attractions including the Arts Centre Melbourne, The Melbourne Aquarium and the National Art Gallery.
