One of the most anticipated food and wine festivals in the country is back on this year, and you can experience the delectable tastes for yourself as the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival sweeps into town from February.

Set to be one of the biggest events in Melbourne for gourmet lovers and culinary creators, the food and wine festival has got a sterling lineup of different activities to look forward to.

All about the Food and Wine Festival

From February 28 - March 16 this year, the best of food and wine will be on display at various venues around the city.

The festival has a long and proud 20-year history of bringing hundreds of events together for both Melbourne residents and visitors to enjoy.

This year, the festival is centred around an aquatic theme of water. Watch as some of the best chefs and winemakers around the globe converge in Melbourne to present their ideas and concepts in line with the theme, and get ready to join in on a range of different events.

Satisfy your mussel cravings at Port Phillip, or taste the best of the ocean at the Queen Victoria Market. There's even a Little Foodies Corner so you can bring your kids along, with an Ice Cream Party and Pancake Day sure to set their tastebuds tingling.

For the adults, there are plenty of opportunities to feast your senses and learn a little more. Try the Sous-Vide, Sake & Science event for a culinary and sake-infused adventure, or discover your new favourite at the Australian Artisan Cheese Fair.
