South Australia's Barossa Valley region has a lot to offer as a holiday destination. From its local farmers markets and food producers to its excellent wineries and vineyards, the valley is one of the state's hidden gems.

Located just an hour's drive north east from the Adelaide airport, the Barossa region will also be home to an exciting event for blues music lovers: the Blues in the Barossa festival.

For three days in November, the picturesque Seppeltsfield Winery will become a bustling hub of blues, roots and jazz with some big names set to take the sun-drenched stage.

All about the festival

Nestled in the heart of South Australia's award-winning wine regions, the Barossa valley is the ideal place to let your hair down for a weekend and enjoy the smooth sounds of accomplished musicians and vocalists.

This year, there are a wide variety of artists set to take the stage. One of these big names is Snooks La Vie, the former leader of The Hiptones whose soulful tones and masterful harmonica skills have thrilled audiences all around the country.

The blues and roots trio Mojo Webb Band will also be attending the festival, where there years of experience playing other events such as Womadelaide and the Australian Blues Music Festival is sure to come in handy.

Other names to watch out for include Fiona Boyes, Zyke, The Red Hot Blues Band and much more. Take in some great performances, join in on a few master classes and enjoy exploring the sprawling grounds of the Seppeltsfield Winery.
