The RSL Club is well established in Surfers Paradise, having a proud and long history to its name and bringing locals and visitors together with its tasty restaurant and bar, modern gaming room and function areas available for hire.

Sports fans from all around the world are invited to come and visit the Sporting Hall of Fame, where one of the most comprehensive and entertaining displays of sports memorabilia in the entire state of Queensland can be seen.

If you or anyone you know is a big rugby fan, you'll definitely want to set aside time in your schedule, as it contains the biggest display of Rugby League memorabilia in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Sporting Hall of Fame makes for a great weekend activity - test your knowledge of the sporting greats with facts and statistics, stare in awe at original signed and framed pieces and gear, and revel in the nostalgia of many of sport's greatest moments.

Have a beach day at Surfers Paradise Beach

Surfers Paradise is aptly named, featuring a three-kilometre strip of golden sand and gorgeous waves between the city and the Pacific Ocean that's perfect for watersports of all kinds.

An iconic beach with a picture-perfect location, a sunny day at the beach is the perfect way to spend a lazy Saturday or Sunday during your weekend getaway to Surfers Paradise.

Whether you swim and surf to your heart's content or lay out a towel and relax on the sands, the beach offers plenty of fun and free things to do.

Lifeguards are scheduled 365 days a year at the Surfers Paradise Beach Lifeguard Tower 34 (located just alongside the Surfers Paradise sign) so you know you'll be safe in the water if you do choose to splash around.

If you prefer a bit more of an active day out, casual social games of beach volleyball run every Wednesday evening and Saturday morning and it's free to join in.

Running every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday night, over 120 market stalls and live entertainers can be found setting up camp in the Beachfront Markets, providing entertainment and a fun evening out.

It's best to visit in the warmer months though, as the markets may be cancelled during wet weather.
