Let the Foo Fighters get the best of you in Sydney

Let the Foo Fighters get the best of you

"All my life I've been waiting for something..."If those lyrics ring true to you, then the wait is over. Foo Fighters - responsible for the very song that will get stuck in your head for days - are returning to Australian shores. You can see them in Sydney for one night only, at ANZ Stadium on Thursday 26 February. Get set to party - it's going to be an epic show.

The rock gods will be joined by special guests Rise Against to set the stage on fire and delight audiences on their tour of Australia and New Zealand. So what can you expect? Well, with Foo Fighters anything is possible. It's set to be one of the most exciting events in Sydney this year.

About the band

Foo Fighters were born in the wake of Nirvana's massive success, with band member Dave Grohl moving from being Kurt Cobain's drummer to Foo Fighters frontman. The first Foo Fighters album was recorded after Cobain's death, with Grohl playing all the instruments - and singing - himself. After signing with a major record label, he formed a band and they had their first tour in 1995. The next album released under the Foo Fighters moniker was the first the band had recorded together, and turned out to be a huge success. Songs such as Monkey Wrench, Everlong and My Hero shot up the charts, and despite many early changes to the line up, Grohl stayed solid and kept the band charging ahead.

"Foo Fighters are going to set the stage alight this year, with one show to be performed at Sydney's ANZ Stadium. Get your tickets now."

In 2002, One By One was released as the band's fourth studio album, solidifying their place in rock 'n' roll history. To this day the group is still releasing massive chart-topping albums and number one singles such as The Pretender, Times Like These and Learn to Fly. They sell out stadiums all over the world, and this is your chance to see them in action.

About the concert

The band is touring all around Australia and New Zealand, but Sydney fans have just one opportunity to see their heroes. They'll be performing all their classic hits, along with newer singles off their most recent album. Rise Against, Chicago trailblazers who have been pumping out songs for over a decade, will no doubt bring an added dimension to the gig.

Tickets are available online, but don't wait around - this is one of the most popular bands in the world and you don't want to miss seeing these rock legends give it their all. There are a range of options available at different price points, so there should be something to suit everyone.

Getting to and from the event is easy thanks to its Olympic Park location. Leave your car at home and catch a train or a bus right to the door, allowing you to party the night away without worrying about parking.
