Get your wheels turning for Ride2Work and Ride2Uni Day

Ride2Work and Ride2Uni Day

Fans of fitness, fun and friendship have an amazing event to look forward to this October in Adelaide. What kind of occasion could offer all this excitement and more? It's the Ride2Work and Ride2Uni Day, which is taking place on October 15.

The event was designed to encourage cycling as a form of transport, recreation and fitness. After all, this form of exercise is entertaining, healthy and can save you money, as well as provide great opportunities to mix and mingle with other people with similar interests.

To take part in Ride2Work or Ride2Uni, all you have to do is turn up to Hindmarsh Square and Mukata between 7am and 9am. If you head to to Mantra Hindmarsh Square and Mantra on Frome, you can be in for the chance to win one of two deluxe accommodation vouchers. Participating is free and all you need to do is register online, bring your bike along and get ready to have a great time.

There are some truly other great incentives to participate too. Simply by registering for the first time, you'll go in the draw to win a CELL Yarra Bike to the value of $499. Those already registered to participate who refer two or more friends to register will be in the running to win a CELL Brunswick Bike, which boasts commuter essentials such as panniers, lights, a water bottle and an inflation kit to a total value of around $1600! That's a great incentive to get your friends together for what will be a fantastic and action-packed morning.

Check out the rest of the attractions taking place at Hindmarsh Square on the day, such as the South Australian Police engraving serial numbers, the Australian Physiotherapy Association doing bike fittings and adjustments and the Adelaide Bicycle Mobile Mechanics helping to tune up people's bikes. There will also be other bike and bike parts establishments on hand, as well as hot coffee stands to give you that extra burst of energy for your cycling commute!
