Revel in Adelaide's OzAsia Festival

It's time for football fans to prepare for one of the country's - and the world's - most exciting events, the AFC Asian Cup. Fans can expect plenty of action out on the field with a whole host of countries, from Australia to Uzbekistan, set to bring their best game to the competition.

Games begin in January 2015, so there's still plenty of time to plan ahead for the event where there are sure to be thrilling goals, games with close calls and others with impressive shows of sportsmanship and victory. Kick off your new year by heading along with family and friends to one of the first games, such as Australia vs Kuwait on January 9 or the Korean Republic vs Oman on January 10.

In total, there will be 32 football matches across 23 days, with five different cities hosting the games - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Newcastle. The final will be playing in Sydney on January 31.

Organisers of the cup hope that not only will the event entertain Australians and an international audience, but will also strengthen relationships between the participating countries and show off Australia's ability to put on a great show.

There are a couple of different options when it comes to tickets. A Venue Pack is the way to go if you're a real football enthusiast, as it grants you access to up to seven games in your chosen city. Purchasing your tickets this way can save you up to 20 per cent.

You can also buy tickets to individual games, starting at $15 for an adult and working up to around $150 for final games.

The AFC Asian Cup is set to be a thrilling event for football and sports fans, so don't miss out on being a part of such a historic sporting occasion. From the match Qatar vs Iran to Australia vs the Korean Republic, there are so many great games to look forward to - so take a look at the match schedule and pick your favourites!
