Now in its ninth year, the festival will be gracing Brisbane once again at City Hall from Sunday August 24 until 28, and this stunning location is perfectly suited to the beautiful clothing on display.

In addition to this, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival is Queensland's only major runaway program and marks the new season of Spring/Summer collections in retail outlets. That means it puts on show the absolute best of local, national and even some international fashion designers, but with a special focus on Australian talent. Giving Australians a platform from which to showcase their skill and flair has always been important to the festival, with emerging designers forging strong identities and earning recognition through.

You can be there, watching the latest looks strut down the catwalk as Brisbane lights up for this glittering festival. Check out the events calendar that outlines what is going on and when, and get your tickets at the ready. Attendance is open to the general public but you will need to buy your tickets in advance.

There are so many highlights and exciting standout shows, but how about starting your fashion experience off with something like the The Myer Spring Summer 15 show? This show, featuring one of Australia's most-loved shopping stores, is scheduled to take place on Monday August 25 at 7 pm and will feature collections from Alex Perry, SASS & BIDE, Aurelio Costarella and more.

If you're on the lookout for a new favourite label, check out the Emerging Designer Group show on Tuesday August 26, 8.30 pm. This features some up-and-coming leaders in the fashion field such as Begitta, Otim Ajalia, Anna Hulm, A Jacksonian Era and Emu Designs.

Then there's the Highlights Parade and Wrap party, which features some of the best collections of the season, followed by a lively wrap party with canapes and plenty of cocktails to go around.
