Take up a challenge and push yourself to achieve something new by joining in on the fantastic Age Run Melbourne.

Offering a 5km, 10km and half-marathon course for adults, and a 3km course for the kids, the Age Run Melbourne provides plenty of opportunities for those of all ages and fitness levels to get active.

In addition to this, it's a great chance to raise some money for a good cause, with many participants seeking sponsorship and running for the charity of their choice.

No matter whether you're taking on the run for your favourite not-for-profit or to try and rise up to a new challenge, the Age Run will give you plenty of support.

Make sure you're in the city for July 27, when the much-anticipated event is set to take place at Federation Square.

If you're not running yourself, you can head along to join the entertainment on and around the course, including DJs, bands and more. Plus, you can wait at the finish line to cheer on the inspirational runners as they pass through!

All in all, the best spots for spectators include the starting line on St Kilda Road, Alexandra Avenue with its array of live musical acts, Batman Avenue and Flinders Street.

Make sure you book your holiday accommodation as soon as possible so you can get close to the action on the day.

Mantra 100 Exhibition is just a few minutes' walk away from Federation Square, so whether you're running yourself or are there to cheer a family member or friend on, you won't have far to go.

Mantra on the Park is another option, also in a wonderful central location with great peaceful views of the Carlton Gardens as a bonus!

Opt for a one-, two- or three-bedroom apartment right amongst the heart of Melbourne's attractions - get ready, set and go!
