With winter coming up, it's likely you're going to want to get your hands on some delicious and warming comfort food every now and again.

If you're in Perth and in need of a tasty hot meal, head to one of these great cafes or restaurants. We all need to indulge sometimes, and these eateries make it well worth it.

Rifo's Cafe

Rifo's Cafe can be found at 189 Guildford Road, Maylands, and you can expect to discover plenty of comforting culinary wonders.

The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a tasty menu packed with all your favourites - so get ready to tuck in.

Start your day with delicious fluffy pancakes with berry compote or wolf down a portion of the crowd-pleasing eggs benedict.

From toast to a 'Big Breakfast' or light salmon dish, there's something for everyone. Pair it with a delicious juice, coffee, smoothie or milkshake for the perfect start to your day.

Lunch and dinner here is just as good, and the hardest part will be choosing what to order from the generous menu. Warm up with a bowl of spaghetti marinara, chow down on a juicy scotch fillet or treat yourself with a classic beef burger and chips. Don't forget about the pizza menu, either!

Finish it all off with a serve of gelato for a real meal to remember.

Missy Moos

If you're looking to sink your teeth into a hearty burger on a cold winter's night, you can't go past Missy Moos.

With one central location at 148 Scarborough Beach Road, and another in South Fremantle at 400 South Terrace, it has you covered wherever you are.

This burger joint offers almost every possible flavourful combination you could dream of, from beef to chicken to pork and vegetarian options. Each burger has a fun and nursery-rhymed themed name, such as "Jack and Jill", "Cock-A-Doodle-Doo" and the "The Cow Jumped Over the Moon".

There's also a range of delicious gourmet toasted sandwiches, not to mention mini-burgers and tasty shakes to satiate your sweet tooth.

The Merrywell

The Merrywell is a delicious eatery filled with all your comforting food favourites, and can be found in the Crown Perth entertainment complex along the Great Eastern highway.

The food is inspired by New York, Vegas and North America's southern states, so you can expect plenty of flavour and indulgent ingredients.

From buffalo wings to sizzling prawns, not to mention po boys, quesidillas, ribs, corn dogs, burgers and steaks, the menu is positively mouth-watering.

Grab a selection of 'share plates' designed for groups, or order a delectable meal for yourself. Just make sure you've left room for dessert. The Merrywall has a number of funky after dinner sweet treats that come in jars, such as apple crumble, cupcakes and chocolate brownie.

There's also a great menu full of sumptuous cocktails, beer, wine, spirits and non-alcohol beverages to enjoy.

The Secret Garden Cafe

The Secret Garden Cafe is a local favourite for delicious breakfasts and lunches. Try the festive cinnamon toast for breakfast, or give the eggs benedict with house-made hollandaise a go.

For lunch, grab a delicious chicken or beef pie, slider burgers or try the cafe's top-notch taste sensation - a mushroom and haloumi burger with some chunky hand cut chips.

You'll find this gorgeous cafe at 7/329 Murray Street, but it's only open Monday to Friday, so why not treat yourself with that long weekend breakfast or lunch you deserve?

As you can see, Perth is full of tasty culinary venues for you to visit. Now when you're staying in Perth and are in need of a hot, comforting meal, you'll know exactly where to go.
