Don't forget these 3 things when you move
If you are moving cities there are plenty of tasks you need to remember to complete before you go.
With so much to do, there are a couple of things you might forget.
Here are three things that are commonly forgotten by those moving, so you've got no excuse to miss them.
Your car licensing
If you are taking your car with you to a new city, you will need to check that your licencing and vehicle fulfills your destination's requirements. This is of particular significance if you are moving across states or territories.
Make sure your registration, personal licence and compulsory third party insurance are all in check before you leave. You may want to consider more comprehensive insurance for the move, too.

Money matters
Make sure your bank knows you are moving and can expect transactions from a new city. Provide them with the address of your new long term accommodation and updated information as soon as it's available.
If you have any loans or repayments to make for any reason, make sure your debtors are aware of the move too, to prevent any confusion or mis-communication.
Give your old home a thorough look
Before you leave your home to your new city, give it a thorough comb-through for anything you could have forgotten. Have you stored anything precious such as jewels or documents in the back of a cupboard? Make sure you've tracked down all your valuables before you leave.
In addition to this, make it easy for the person moving in next by leaving it in a clean state. Return keys and any other items from the home. Be sure to notify various organisations about your change of address.
By taking care of these three tasks before you move, your life will be made a lot easier.
