Revel in Melbourne's art and design during Design Week. Delve into the world of design in Melbourne

If you've got an eye for design and all things aesthetically pleasing, you might want to make your way to Melbourne for the Melbourne International Design Week, 2014. This is set to take place from April 1 to 6.

The week will include plenty of events sure to get everyone thinking. Not only will it celebrate the best in the field, but it will educate and inspire, too.

You can visit the Design Portal, a hub that will host social events, bars and plenty of food, located on the Arts Centre Melbourne Lawn.

Or you might want to attend the Business Advantage, which is a breakfast seminar on design and business success.

Then there's the Look Upstairs event, which is a three-day design forum, hosting 41 speakers from 20 countries across the globe.

"The week will include plenty of events sure to get everyone thinking. Not only will it celebrate the best in the field, but it will educate and inspire, too."

If that's not enough, there's the Design Futures, a great event for the younger crowd, which focuses on helping secondary school students discover the myriad of different design disciplines to see what peaks their interest.

Don't forget Design Seeds for children, which aims to help kids find a passion for design.

And these are just a few of the events on offer - there's plenty more!

The location of this design week is the Arts Centre Melbourne, which is at 100 St Kilda Road. Secure your holiday accommodation close by for the ultimate in convenience. Mantra Southbank is just 200 metres away from all the action!

In the heart of the arts and entertainment district you'll also be close to the National Gallery of Victoria, Federation Square, Botanical Gardens and more.

When you've had your fill of design each day, enjoy Mantra Southbank's facilities including a heated lap pool, spa, gymnasium and restaurant and bar. You couldn't want for more!
