Indulge your taste for the arts with a visit to the John Curtin Gallery in Perth, where Paramodel is presenting their newest dioramaStep into the fantastical with Paramodelic Graffiti

If you're ready to go down the rabbit hole into a world of immersive art and design, take a trip into the fantastic with a visit to the Paramodelic exhibition at the Perth Festival. From February 6 - April 17, you can catch these masters of design doing what they do best, using elements sourced locally right from the Perth area.

Paramodel is an 'art unit' that was formed in 2001 in Japan. The artists behind the name (a fusion of 'paradise' and 'model') are Yasuhiko Hayashi and Yusuke Nakano, both graduates from the Kyoto City University of Arts.

Each artist works in a different medium, but together they create intriguing landscapes and models out of everyday items such as plastic train tracks, miniature cars and more. Their work spans a range of forms from animation, painting, sculpture, photography and more.

At the Perth Festival, you can get an up close look at these artists and their work in a new installation called Paramodelic - Graffiti. You can even get a chance to make some Paramodelic artwork of your own, working in teams to create your own design in the Paramodel joint factory.

You might even get the chance for your artwork to be showcased and documented in future exhibitions around the world, so this is the perfect chance to indulge your creative side. There are tickets for this event so you'll want to get in early as they are limited.

Each session will run for one hour at the John Curtin Gallery in Perth, and you can even bring the kids along as it's suitable for all ages to enjoy.

When it comes to holiday accommodation, you'll have plenty of choice with Mantra on Murray and Mantra on Hay offering you a great base for your Western Australian getaway.
