Are you ready to move away into long term accommodation?

Whether you're going to be living in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or any other city around the country, there are three important things to sort out during your first weekend in your new home.

1. Find your new favourite eating/drinking spot

This is a must for those who can't feel settled until they have their own local watering hole picked out.

Wherever you move to, having a go-to bar or restaurant to fall back on is a great way to feel at home in an unfamiliar place. When you Live@Mantra, you'll get a list of 28 local secrets to help you settle right in, including tips about the nearest and best spots to have a bite or a tipple.

"Make time to check out the local gyms or areas where you can exercise outside. Find out if there's a park or a beach nearby you can run in, or a sports club you can join.

2. Scope out the local shops

Whether you're a shopping fiend or not, it's always handy knowing exactly where your local shops are and what's on offer.

When you have a spare moment during your weekend, make sure to head over to the shopping area in your city to check out what you can find. It will definitely come in handy the next time you need a last-minute gift or a treat for yourself.

3. Find your new gym

These days more and more people are focussing on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, and you can't get there without regular physical activity and exercise.

Make time to check out the local gyms or areas where you can exercise outside. Find out if there's a park or a beach nearby you can run in, or a sports club you can join.

If you're settled in corporate accommodation you might even have an on-site gym, sauna and pool to take advantage of so you won't have to go very far.
