White Night Melbourne will be happening next monthWhat will you discover at Melbourne's White Night?

If you're wondering what to do in Melbourne next month, the annual White Night could be just what you need to experience the city.

Based on the famous Nuit Blanche in Paris, the event encompasses the whole city and brings together the best in both Australian and international entertainment.

Festivities are designed to suit people of all ages and run from 7pm to 7am on February 22. You can expect to see street performances, fashion shows, film screenings and exhibitions throughout the 12-hour event.

One of the biggest shows is Wonderland, which lights up and brings to life some of Melbourne's most famous buildings. The action is centred around Federation Square, so make sure you add this to your itinerary.

Whether you are interested in fashion, film, music or sport, there is something to satisfy every taste at White Night Melbourne.

"White Night Melbourne will once again be taking place this year, bringing together the best in local and international entertainment.

Family-oriented events include an open night at the Arts Centre Melbourne, where visitors will be able to hear Rachmaninoff Live in concert, as well as see plenty of top quality art. This is a one night only event that art fanatics won't want to miss.

Last year's White Night Melbourne was the first ever and attracted in excess of 300,000 people. The 2014 festival is expected to be bigger and better than ever.

There are various options in the city, including Mantra 100 Exhibition Street, which put you right in the heart of the action, so you won't be far from any of the White Night festivities.

If you are attending the event as part of an extended stay, you will find other parts of the city easy to reach from this property, including the Rod Laver Arena and Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.
