Have fun with the whole family in Bunbury. What to do in Bunbury

The Western Australian city of Bunbury is a brilliant place to spend a few days. Whether you are staying in holiday accommodation with your family or you are travelling for work, there are plenty of things to see and do in this vibrant centre.

This oceanfront community is known as the 'second capital' of Western Australia with good reason - it boasts excellent shopping and dining, as well as some of the country's most beautiful beaches.

As a port city located some 175 km from Perth, Bunbury has all the warmth and charm of a smaller town, but with the added benefit of being a bustling metropolitan centre with plenty of unique attractions. You'll find plenty to see and do here, so make sure you plan ahead to make the most out of your trip.

You won't want to miss a visit to the Dolphin Discovery Centre - one of Australia's premier wildlife experiences - or a trip to stunning Koombana Bay for a day at the waterfront.

Elsewhere, the kids will love a stop at the Big Swamp Wildlife Park for a close-up encounter with some local Aussie animals, or the Mangrove Boardwalk, which is a premier destination for bird-watchers.

For culture vultures, Bunbury has plenty of options to choose from, including the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries, as well as the Lava Glass Art Gallery & Studio and the comfortable, child-friendly Grand Cinemas, which is located conveniently near a number of local restaurants and cafes.

While you are in the area, you'll also want to be sure to sample the local seafood and take a stroll along the picturesque waterfront, which boasts spectacular views.

Whatever you choose to do in Bunbury, you can rest assured that you will be greeted with a warm local welcome!
