If you're a fan of the smooth-talking, impossibly suave secret agent that is James Bond, you'll definitely want to head over the Melbourne Museum to catch the exhibition Designing 007: 50 Years of Bond Style.

Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and most recently Daniel Craig (among many others) have all taken their turn at portraying the famed Ian Fleming character through his 50-year cinematic history, and the classic Bond style has always been a high point in each film.

Now you can get a closer look at all things quintessentially Bond with Designing 007, one of the most exciting events in Melbourne this summer. From the fast cars, slick suits and inventive gadgets, explore all the different facets of the Bond world with this special exhibition.

A collaboration between the Barbican and EON Productions, Designing 007 is hosted by the Melbourne Museum, just a few minutes away from central holiday accommodation such as Mantra on the Park

"From January and February 2014, you can also enjoy the Friday Night Bond Experience which will feature location themes, talks and music from 5pm-9pm. Even the kids can join in by building a special Lego mural of Bond movie scenes over the school holidays.

Fashion historian Bronwyn Cosgrave guest-curated the exhibition along with Academy Award-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming, the woman behind Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig's impeccably outfitted turns as the titular character.

Explore a dozen themed rooms and environments that take you on a journey through classic James Bond films. Look out for highlights including Roger Moore's white tuxedo from Octopussy, the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 from Goldeneye and Skyfall and even the villain Jaws' teeth from "The Spy Who Loved Me".
