Here is something truly exciting - a dining experience that combines interactive theatre, mystery, a treasure hunt and some of the best food in town.

Sydney Pop Up Dining is the brainchild of the team at Sydney Interactive Theatre, and has been getting rave reviews for its unique dining and theatre experience.

If you're visiting for the weekend and wondering what to do in Sydney, you can't go past a Pop Up event. Set in the charming surrounds of Surry Hills, the activity will likely be one of the more interesting ways you'll ever experience a meal.

Pop Up Dining essentially creates a secret restaurant in a secluded alleyway. It's up to the guests (with a little help from cast members and clues) to discover the location before they enjoy a decadent feast.

Professional actors will accompany you on your hunt around Surry Hills, adding an element of interactive theatre to your adventure. They'll help guide you to your final destination, but not without a bit of mischief on the way.

As for the dining part of the equation, each experience includes champagne and canapes upon arrival, a drinks stop at a bar before you reach the main event, a sumptuous tapas platter and sangria over supper.

Base yourself at nearby Sydney holiday accommodation such as Mantra 2 Bond Street for easy access to Sydney Pop Up Dining. Book online and you'll receive an in-theme confirmation call 24-48 hours before kick-off.

Each experience runs for an hour and a half, with several sessions running from 4:00pm - 6:00pm on Saturdays. You can join as a single, couple or group of people, and if you've got eight or more to book then your group will consist of only your friends.
