It's 'Go Time' with Arj Barker in Cairns
Arj Barker is back in Australia with a brand new show that's set to get audiences laughing once more. Go Time will show Barker at his stand-up best, so if you're going to be in Cairns around October 19 you'll definitely want to catch him at the Cairns Civic Theatre.
Located on Sheridan Street, the theatre is just a short distance away from Mantra Trilogy, which makes it easy if you're looking for holiday accommodation in the area.
Arj Barker
Arj Barker (real name Arjan Singh) hails from California, USA, and has toured extensively throughout his home country as well as Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
Fans Down Under and across the ditch in New Zealand will recognise Barker from his appearances on Flight of the Conchords as Dave, the local pawn shop owner, but he is a rising star in his own right.
"In 2000, he won the Perrier Best Newcomer prize (now known as the Edinburgh Comedy Award) at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland, and Barker brings his extensive touring experience to Australian audiences with his new show Go Time."
Barker made his first foray into the world of stand-up comedy on a dare, at the age of 19. He has appeared on numerous talk shows including the Tonight Show and the Late Show with David Letterman, and he's a regular mainstay on the comedy festival circuit.

Go Time
Barker's shows have been praised around the world, with the Scotland Times calling him "slick, talented and completely in control".
Go Time showcases some of the newest and best material from Barker's considerable talents at observational comedy.
According to an interview earlier this year with music and lifestyle magazine Rip It Up, Barker says Go Time will feature a couple of his own songs to add some extra entertainment for the audience.
