Have you been to the Sunshine Coast yet?

Noosa (pictured above) is one of the many beautiful beaches on South East Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Have you been to the Sunshine Coast yet?

The Sunshine Coast, located in south east Queensland, is shaping up to be one of the state's must-visit family holiday destinations.

Home to popular beachfront towns such as Mooloolaba and Noosa, the area has recently undergone a marketing makeover, which hopes to attract plenty of new visitors.

Check out the newly launched website 'Visit Sunshine Coast', and see how you can "make the most of the moment" next time you visit.

But what else does the Sunshine Coast have to offer families, you may ask? Here is a quick round-up of three popular destinations in the area:

Noosa

Located just 130 kilometres south of Brisbane, Noosa is a great place to relax and unwind while still being close to a big city.

Being a beachfront town, we'd recommend making some time to enjoy the salt, sun and surf. The Noosa National Park also promises to be a fun family day out!

Rainbow Beach

If you want to escape the daily grind and truly feel as though you are far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, then Rainbow Beach is for you.

This beautiful destination has a 'small-town' vibe and is perfect for retreating from busy city life and soaking up the serenity of nature.

Mooloolaba

A bit of a tongue-twister, the town of Mooloolaba is even closer to Brisbane than Noosa (97 kilometres) and home to some wonderful resorts, restaurants, beaches and other tourist favourites.

If you are lucky enough to live in Brisbane, then it makes the ideal destination for a weekend getaway - simply load up the car on a Friday night and escape the city for a few days.

Wherever you choose to go in the Sunshine Coast, you can be sure to be a hop, skip and a jump away from beautiful beaches, great cafes and restaurants and other attractions and activities.

Maybe it’s time to start planning your Sunshine Coast escape? There are a range of Mantra apartments, hotels and resorts nearby that are perfect for families.
